lately i've been practicing clarinet and i must say it really screws me up on bass clarinet, but now that i've started it's hard to stop.

if y'all are up for it, i'm planning on coming home for the musical. maybe we all (excluding ms. eckstrom) could get together to see it. that means that YOU guys have to make sure that everyone has gotten the invitation. just an idea if y'all wanna do it...otherwise i'm coming home for it and may or may not get to see y'all!

i think there's a reason that hello and goodbye are the same word in so many languages

it's like the word amen. it can be translated into egyptian, hebrew, arabic, latin, italian, and several other languages that i can't remember right now, and in all of them it's definition is a variation on the word love, or god, now keep in mind that although some of these languages may be related there is no one factor which unites them all.

hey kids... i think everyone should take a look at zach's blog from 1-11-04. it's a REALLY touching blog and i think...just read it. zach, you were right. it DID make me feel a little better, even though i'm the same kind of musician you are. i had to quit band to go to school (stupid classes) and now that i'm not doing it anymore i miss it more than *gasp* i miss swimming. : ( last night was miree/fred time. i pulled him out and played just stupid stuff that i used to play when i was "practicing" or frustrated or stressed or just plain old bored. it's hard not having time for that anymore. y'all keep it up...music is an amazing thing and you'll really miss it if you leave it behind.

CONGRATS KATIE ON MAKING STATE!!!!! no doubt i will be there to see you!!! just let me know when you're playing (after you tryout and find out). I'M SOOOOOO PROUD OF YOU!!!! see, i TOLD you you could do it!!! :-D
